ActionAid Nigeria is officially inviting Expressions of Interest from eligible women’s rights networks to participate in the Renewed Women’s Voice and Leadership (RWVL) Project.
This five-year initiative aims to advance gender equality and the enjoyment of human rights for women and girls in all their diversity across Nigeria.
Funded by Global Affairs Canada, the project is scheduled to run from 2025 through 2029.
It is specifically designed to provide a lifeline to movements operating in challenging environments, helping them amplify their voices and influence policy through sustained support.

Successful applicants will receive sustained technical and financial support to deliver inclusive, gender-transformative programs.
This project provides a platform for networks to strengthen their advocacy and contribute to regional and global priorities regarding the rights of women and girls.
The initiative offers a significant financial boost, with a total annual budget of Twelve Million Naira (N12,000,000.00). This funding is dedicated to movements that can demonstrate a proven track record of advancing gender justice and contributing to systemic change.
Application requirements and eligibility
Eligibility is strictly limited to women-led networks and movements that are headquartered in Nigeria and operate at a national level.
Applicants must have a female majority in leadership and a mandate that prioritizes the empowerment of women and girls in all their diversity.
The call focuses on diverse thematic areas, including climate justice, women in tech, female inmates, and the young feminist agenda. Organizations must also show a willingness to collaborate with other movements and the capacity to engage with stakeholders for policy reform.
Interested parties are required to submit an organizational profile alongside a completed application template provided by ActionAid.
Please note that only one application per network will be accepted, and non-compliance with the required template will lead to disqualification.
