The IGAD Climate Prediction and Applications Centre (ICPAC), with help from ClimSA, has opened applications for the Youth for Climate Action Campaign and Awards 2025.
This award was designed in honour of the local-weather resilience and advocacy by youth in member states of the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD).
As a regional initiative, the Youth for Climate Action Campaign showcases how younger people participate in local-weather awareness, neighbourhood adaptation, and local weather info dissemination.
Through highly effective visible and narrative storytelling, this marketing drive elevates the voices of youth who are making an impression via innovation, consciousness, and motion.
Youth who meet up eligibility requirements and come from any member state of the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) are welcome to submit authentic tales, pictures, or brief movies/animations. IGAD member states are Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, and Uganda.
