If you are a student or amateur whose work revolves around research and conservation of raptors and have limited access to alternative funding, then the Stephen R. Tully Memorial Grant is an opportunity to access funding to support your work.
Provided by the Raptor Research Foundation, the grant is up to $4,000 plus waived page charges to publish the research in the Journal of Raptor Research. At least one grant is issued each year.
To apply, you need to provide a cover letter highlighting the motivations, objectives, and expected outcomes of the study; a CV; and a proposal of no more than five pages.
You would also provide information about your background, study objectives and methods, a budget detailing how funds will be spent, a list of other funding sources, expected results, literature cited, and your photograph – preferably in the field.
