The International News Media Association (INMA) is launching a global search for 30 rising stars to rejuvenate workplace cultures and help reimagine news brands for a complex digital future.
Through the “30 Under 30” Awards, the organization seeks to honor young professionals who demonstrate early career achievements and significant leadership potential.
The initiative specifically targets individuals with a knack for innovation and an ability to influence the news media landscape across diverse markets.
Applicants are evaluated based on merit, with a focus on creating a diverse class representing different races, creeds, genders, and global regions.
Funding and benefits
Recipients of the award gain international recognition as part of an elite class of young media professionals acknowledged for their career potential.
This honor provides a prestigious platform to connect with members of the wider INMA community and leading industry experts who serve as judges.
Notably, there is no application fee to enter the competition, ensuring that talent remains the primary factor for prospective winners.
Submissions are evaluated by members of the INMA Young Professionals Initiative Committee, who look for those capable of shaping the industry’s future.
Application requirements and eligibility
To qualify, candidates must be employed by a news media company and be under the age of 30 as of June 19, 2026.

Professionals over the age of 30 are encouraged to help identify talent by using the online form to put forward a deserving peer for recognition.
