Bridge for Billions, in partnership with EDP, has officially opened applications for the third edition of the EDP Hope Fund Incubation Program.

This five-month, online initiative is designed to support social entrepreneurs worldwide who are working toward a fair energy transition for underserved communities.

The program targets innovators focused on clean energy access, energy efficiency, and environmental preservation.

It aims to help founders transform early-stage ideas or minimum viable products into scalable, sustainable business models through a hands-on methodology.

Funding and benefits

Participation in this global cohort is entirely free, thanks to funding provided by the EDP Hope Fund.

While the program does not offer direct capital investment, it provides participants with expert mentorship and specialized training in social impact measurement.

Entrepreneurs will gain access to a validated step-by-step methodology to structure their business finances and growth strategies.

Top participants will eventually have the opportunity to pitch their ventures to a jury of industry experts during an online Demo Day in November.

Application requirements and eligibility

This opportunity is open to founders from any country, regardless of age or educational background.

Applicants must lead a business project that contributes to affordability, inclusion, or resilience in their local community.

Successful candidates are expected to dedicate six to eight hours per week to the program’s activities.

Essential requirements include a computer, a stable internet connection, and professional proficiency in English.

After the application window closes, the team will select 50 participants to join the onboarding session on May 13.

A subsequent matching phase will pair entrepreneurs with industry mentors who will guide them throughout the incubation period.

Deadline

Aspiring social entrepreneurs must submit their full applications through the program’s digital platform by April 30, 2026. All entries must be comupleted in English to be considered for selection in this year’s global cohort.
