Liverpool’s tech ecosystem is poised for a significant boost as Baltic Ventures officially opens applications for its Accelerator 2026 programme.
The platform, which has already supported over 50 companies that have gone on to raise more than £14 million, is looking to back up to 12 high-potential digital tech startups.
This intensive three-month residency, based in the city’s vibrant Baltic Triangle, provides founders with the resources needed to scale before institutional capital arrives.
Past participants have described the experience as “nothing short of life and business transforming”.
Funding and benefits
Selected startups will receive an initial £25,000 equity investment via an Advance Subscription Agreement, with the opportunity to secure a further £75,000 in follow-on funding from an angel syndicate.
This cash injection is supplemented by a programme of support valued at £40,000 [7].
Participants gain access to a world-class team of coaches, masterclasses with industry leaders, and curated networking dinners in Liverpool and London.
The benefits package also includes tech platform perks from providers like Google Cloud and AWS, plus asubsidized trip to the Slush conference in Helsinki.
Application requirements and eligibility
The call is open to digital tech businesses that have demonstrated strong validation and early commercial traction.
Eligible companies must be incorporated as a company limited by shares and should be planning to raise seed funding within the next 6-12 months.
While the programme prioritizes teams of at least two co-founders, solo founders with relevant expertise are also encouraged to apply.
Startups can be based anywhere in the world, provided they can attend the programmed in-person activities in the UK.
Founders must be prepared to commit roughly one to two days per week to the programme, which kicks off in September and concludes in January.
The curriculum is designed to be bespoke, featuring workstreams that address the specific challenges each early-stage company faces.
Deadline
Entrepreneurs have until 29 May 2026 to submit their applications through the Baltic Ventures website.
Following a competitive interview process, a shortlist will be invited to a final investor pitch day in late June.
