African Leadership Centre announces Peace, Security and Development Fellowships

Applications for the Peace, Security, and Development Fellowships and Associate Fellowships for the academic year 2025/2026 by the African Leadership Center (ALC) are now open.

ALC is offering three types of fellowships for the 2025/2026 academic year:

–    The first scholarship is for fellows focused on peace, security, and development: This award is designed for young African scholars passionate about a career in leadership, security, and development to impact discourse and practice in these areas.

–    The Associate Fellowships Bursaries for African Students in Peace, Security, and Development (degree awarding): This category is for African students applying for the MSc Global Leadership and Peacebuilding at King’s College London beginning in September, 2025.

–   The Associate Fellowships in Global Leadership and Peacebuilding for the Global South (degree awarding): This fellowship category is for students from the Global South applying for the MSc Global Leadership and Peacebuilding at King’s College London beginning in September, 2025.

Funding 

Successful applicants will receive a bursary that covers 25% of the MSc Global Leadership and Peacebuilding tuition fees at King’s College London for the 2025/26 academic year in addition to five thousand pounds (£5,000) as a contribution to their living expenses in London.

Applications are open for the African Leadership Center's Peace, Security, and Development Fellowships and Associate Fellowships for the 2025/2026 academic year.

ALC offers three types of fellowships. The first fellowship focuses on early-career African scholars interested in leadership, security, and development.

The second provides bursaries for African students pursuing an MSc in Global Leadership and Peacebuilding at King’s College London, starting in September 2025.

The third category is for students from the Global South for the same program at King’s College London.

Successful applicants will receive a bursary covering 25% of the tuition fees plus a £5,000 contribution towards living expenses in London.
