The Embassy of France in Uganda has officially launched its call for applications for the 2026/2027 Master’s degree scholarship program.
This initiative is tailored for young Ugandan scholars who have already completed a Bachelor’s degree and wish to further their education in France through programs taught in either English or French.
Applicants can pursue studies across a wide range of critical disciplines, including Sciences, Agriculture, and Sustainable Development.
Other eligible fields featured in the program include Economics, Engineering, Business Administration, Gender Studies, Tourism, and Sport.
Funding and benefits
Successful recipients will receive a comprehensive financial package that covers round-trip international airfare between Uganda and France as well as full tuition fees.
The scholarship also provides a monthly stipend for living expenses, along with waivers for visa and CVEC fees.
Beyond direct financial aid, the program offers priority access to subsidized student housing and assistance with administrative procedures during the stay.
Scholars will also benefit from health insurance coverage,vjointly funded by the French government and Campus France, and exclusive access to cultural networking events.
Application requirements and eligibility
To be eligible, candidates must be Ugandan citizens and hold a Bachelor’s degree in one of the designated study areas before the application window closes.
Furthermore, applicants must have already secured admission or be in the process of applying to a recognized French public university.
The application process requires candidates to compile a dossier including a cover letter, a copy of their identity document, and their Bachelor’s degree certificate.
Applicants must also provide proof of application or an admission letter from their chosen French university to complete the selection process.
Deadline
Interested students must submit their complete application as a single PDF file via email to the Service de Cooperation et d’Action Culturelle (SCAC) at the Embassy of France.
The final deadline for all submissions is midnight on June 11, 2026.
Following the deadline, the Embassy will review all applications and contact preselected candidates for further interviews.
All applicants can expect to receive updates regarding the status of the selection campaign by July 11, 2026.
