UEFA Foundation offers funding for child-focused projects

The UEFA Foundation for Children is inviting proposals for its 2025 funding cycle, supporting projects that protect and promote the fundamental rights of vulnerable children around the world.

The Foundation seeks initiatives aligned with its core values and offering practical support for children in the following focus areas:

  • Access to sport

  • Personal development

  • Inclusion of children with disabilities

  • Promotion of a healthy lifestyle

  • Support for victims of conflict

  • Gender equality

  • Environmental protection

Who Can Apply

The call is open to non-profit organisations and NGOs worldwide working with children. Proposals should focus on the empowerment, protection, and development of children through community-based or innovative programmes.

Selection Criteria

Proposals are evaluated using two categories of criteria:

1. Deal-Breaker Criteria (Mandatory – failure to meet any will result in disqualification):

  • The organisation must be legally registered for at least 3 years.

  • Audited financial statements for the past three years must be available and published.

  • Projects must involve a majority of participants under 18 years old.

  • At least 20% of project participants must be girls.

  • Projects focused solely on scouting, training, or talent promotion are not eligible.

2. Weighted Criteria (Used to assess and rank eligible projects):

  • Administrative costs must be clearly stated.

  • The level of co-funding should be specified.

  • The number of child beneficiaries should be provided.

  • The project should focus exclusively on children and fall within the targeted age range.

  • Projects with strong female participation will be rated higher.

Additional "Weighted Criteria" will rank projects based on administrative cost clarity, co-funding levels, beneficiary numbers, exclusive focus on children within the specified age range, and strong female participation.

Interested applicants must submit their applications, including all required documents, via the UEFA Foundation's official website by August 1, 2025.
