Google has opened applications for its AI for Energy Accelerator, an equity-free programme aimed at supporting startups using artificial intelligence (AI) to drive innovation in the energy sector.

This high-impact initiative is designed to address critical challenges in grid optimisation, demand flexibility, and sustainable energy solutions for commercial and utility customers.

The programme offers both technical and strategic support from Google experts and leading industry mentors.

Part of Google’s broader climate tech strategy, the accelerator empowers a new generation of startups building scalable, AI-powered solutions for global energy challenges.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply, startups must:

• Be at the Pre-Seed to Series A stage and demonstrate market traction

• Have a scalable product or service with a large addressable market and a defensible growth model

• Be actively leveraging AI and/or machine learning

• Ensure project commitment from the CEO, CTO, or other key technical leads

• Be building solutions for:

  1. Utilities, grid operators, or energy developers

  2. Demand flexibility and optimization

  3. Energy solutions for industrial, commercial, residential, or cloud customers
