Are you passionate about education and eager to make a global impact? UNESCO is calling on students worldwide to apply for the 2026–2027 SDG4 Youth & Student Network — a vibrant community of young leaders working to advance Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG4): Quality Education for All.

This global network empowers youth to influence education policy, advocate for change, and drive innovation in the education sector. Through workshops, conferences, and collaborative projects, members help shape inclusive, equitable, and quality learning opportunities.

As the official youth and student voice in the SDG4 High-Level Steering Committee, the Network plays a crucial role in international education decision-making.

Membership Details

  • Members serve in their personal capacity for a two-year term (January 2026 – December 2027).

  • Participation is voluntary and unpaid.

  • Membership does not imply employment with UNESCO or permission to use its name or logo.

What Members Do

  • Collaborate in working groups to develop skills and contribute to impactful projects.

  • Elect regional representatives to the Executive Committee, which coordinates network activities and liaises with UNESCO.

  • Participate in consultations, campaigns, and monthly meetings to shape global education discussions.

Who Can Apply?

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Be between 16 and 30 years old.

  • Be actively involved in a non-governmental or non-profit organization working in education or related fields.

  • Demonstrate engagement with SDG4—Education 2030 priorities.

  • Have no conflicts of interest, such as holding a government position or working for a for-profit organisation that may interfere with network goals. Note: Current and former network members may reapply.

UNESCO is inviting students globally to apply for the 2026–2027 SDG4 Youth & Student Network.
