The Global Fast Track (GFT) 2026 program has officially launched, inviting ambitious tech firms to scale their operations in Hong Kong.
This year-long initiative provides a direct pipeline for startups to connect with more than 120 corporate and investor “champions” across the region.
With a proven track record, the program has already assisted over 1,000 companies from 70 different economies in their expansion efforts.
Participants gain significant visibility by pitching live before an audience of 45,000 global leaders at the upcoming Hong Kong FinTech Week x StartmeupHK festival.
Funding and benefits
Successful applicants can access a suite of scaling resources, ranging from AI-powered matchmaking to complimentary physical booths at major industry conferences.
Through a partnership with the HKSTP Global Connect program, some startups may even qualify for financial grants of up to HK$100,000 to support their “soft-landing” in the city.
Beyond cash incentives, the program offers flight reimbursements for semi-finalists and extensive media exposure through branding and press releases.
Winners receive the added benefit of a complimentary exhibition booth for the following year’s Hong Kong FinTech Week in 2027.
Application requirements and eligibility
GFT 2026 is specifically seeking startups and scaleups that already have operational products in the market.
To be eligible, candidates must demonstrate a clear plan to expand their business into Asia within the next 24 months.
The call is open to a wide array of sectors, including FinTech, HealthTech, AI, and GreenTech, marking the largest lineup of verticals in the program’s history.
To reflect the region’s diversity, the pitching competition is now bilingual, allowing founders to present in either English or Putonghua.
Deadline
Entrepreneurs interested in joining the prestigious pitching competition must submit their applications by September 25.
The application window is currently open, with virtual qualifier rounds and market readiness sessions scheduled to run from April through September.
Following the submission period, semi-finalists will be announced in early October to prepare for the main event.
The program will culminate in a Grand Finale and live demo sessions held on November 2-3 during the Hong Kong FinTech Week conference.
