AmplifyChange has officially launched its latest “Strengthening Grants” call, inviting small to medium-sized civil society organizations to apply for support in advocacy work.

This funding opportunity is specifically designed to empower groups working to transform the sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) landscape.

The grant prioritizes critical themes such as violence, abortion, inclusion, and SRHR education.

It also supports cross-cutting issues like climate justice and mental health, with a specific focus on marginalized populations such as refugees and people with disabilities.

Funding and benefits

Successful applicants can secure funding ranging from GBP 100,000 to GBP 200,000 for projects lasting between 24 and 36 months.

Notably, the grant allows up to 40% of the total funds to be used for organizational development and enhancing operational effectiveness.

In response to global trends, at least 30% of the total funding is dedicated to projects ensuring government funding for SRHR.

However, legally marginalized groups are encouraged to apply under other outcome areas that best fit their specific expertise and operating contexts.

Application requirements and eligibility

Eligibility is restricted to small and medium organizations with an average annual expenditure between GBP 150,000 and GBP 350,000 over the last two years.

Proof of these financial values, such as profit and loss statements or audited reports, must be submitted as evidence.

Organizations must be registered and operating in one of the eligible countries, which include nations like Ghana, Kenya, India, and Nigeria.

A functional bank account is also a mandatory requirement for all participating groups.

To ensure a fair process amid high demand, only one application is permitted per organization.

Applicants are expected to show how their projects integrate into wider movements for social change and address the root causes of discrimination.

Deadline

The application window is currently open and will close at 17:00 UK time on 16 June 2026. Crucially, all new applicants must complete their registration on the online Grants Portal by 12:00 UK time on 5 June 2026 to be eligible to submit a proposal.
