Together with “Women in Ag magazine”, the DLG is organizing the Women in Ag Award to give women around the world the chance to tell their stories and present their impressive achievements.
Categories
– Agriculture: This category honors women who actively shape agriculture and make it fit for the future with sustainable farming methods, modern farm management, or innovative concepts.
– Agribusiness: Women who modernize agriculture and make value chains more efficient with entrepreneurial spirit, digital solutions or new business models are honored in this category.
– Education: In this category, women are recognized who impart knowledge as teachers, consultants, or communicators; make agriculture more understandable; and inspire the next generation.
– Technology and Research: Women who create new solutions with research and technological developments and change agriculture sustainably with innovative findings are honored.
Eligibility
– Applications are open to women from around the world who work in agriculture, agribusiness, animal farming, research and development, teaching, journalism or as bloggers and influencers.
– The “Women in Ag Award” is organised by DLG (German Agricultural Society) and the “Women in Ag magazine” in order to foster the role of women in the agricultural sector as a whole. The competition participants shall accept these conditions of participation. Incomplete applications or those that fail to comply with the rules and criteria of the competition shall not be taken into consideration.
– The award shall be presented by an international jury in the four categories of “Agriculture”, “Agribusiness”, “Education,” and “Technology and Research.” It pays tribute to the work of women who are employed in agriculture, in agribusiness, and at schools, universities, research institutes, media, and organisations within the agricultural sector.
– Participation in the competition is free of charge. Applications can be submitted online.

- The selection will consider innovative approaches to work, contribution to the improvement of agriculturally relevant topics in the future, positive effects on the farming community, locally or globally. The award winners shall be selected in the following steps:

How to enter
The Women in Ag Award, organized by the DLG and "Women in Ag magazine," celebrates the achievements of women in the agricultural sector globally.
