Students and young graduates are invited to apply for the 2025 UNESCO Internship programme across various disciplines and sectors. The programme offers a unique opportunity for students and recent graduates to gain hands-on experience within the United Nations system.
Internships are available in different sectors and bureaus, including education, culture, natural sciences, social and human sciences, communication and information. Assignments can take place at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, in field offices, or at Category I Institutes for a duration of six months.
Interns at UNESCO are integrated into teams where they contribute to various projects and activities. This experience allows interns to understand the organization’s work environment and develop professional skills in a multicultural setting.
Responsibilities include summarizing research; preparing documents and communication materials; collecting, analyzing, and presenting data; assisting in organizing events; participating in meetings and workshops; and contributing to technical work.
Who can apply?
To qualify, you must be at least 20 years old at the time of application, and you must be enrolled in or recently graduated (within 12 months) from a graduate program (Master’s degree, PhD, or equivalent)
Ideal candidates should also a good command of English or French and be capable of working effectively in a team and adapting to an international environment
