Applications are now open for the Martine Franck Curatorial Research Grant, aimed at supporting researchers and curators to develop research and exhibition projects.
Offered by the Fondation Henri Cartier-Bresson, the grant fellowship, awarded every two years, provides the recipient—selected from a new international generation of scholars—with ideal conditions to carry out research and contribute to renewing curatorial approaches on the work of the two photographers by supporting original and contemporary perspectives.

Up to €7,000 is awarded to the recipient of the Martine Franck Curatorial Research Grant to curate an exhibition at the Fondation Henri Cartier-Bresson.
The grant covers research and curatorial work, the production of material for the exhibition and the book, supervision of the book’s production, as well as any travel and accommodation expenses.
Who qualifies to apply?
– Researchers from around the world are invited to apply, but applying researchers must have enrolled in or have completed a doctoral program, and curators must have enrolled in or have completed a graduate program.
– Idea candidates are those who can demonstrate research capabilities and show evidence of publication or curatorial experience.
