The International AIDS Society (IAS) has opened applications for its Youth Hub Seed Grant Programme, which is targeted at young people driving change in the HIV response. The programme seeks to fund innovative, youth-led projects that break down barriers to HIV prevention, treatment and care for young people.
Focus areas
The grant amplifies the work of youth-led organisations addressing HIV. Proposals must outline a one-year project that tackles at least one of three priority areas:
- Fighting HIV-related stigma,
- improving sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR)
- Promoting mental health support for young people living with or affected by HIV.
Funding
Four selected Youth Hubs will each receive a US$10,000 seed grant to implement their projects. Winners will also benefit from technical assistance from IAS and its partners, along with professional development opportunities, including the chance to present their work at high-profile conferences and meetings.
Eligibility
- The project must be led by a young person under 30 years old by the application deadline.
- The application must come from a Youth Hub, which is defined as an organisation, movement or network led by young people.
- The Youth Hub must have a proven track record of at least two years in community engagement and HIV-related advocacy.
Application details
Youth Hubs that meet the above-mentioned requirements must submit a detailed proposal with a clear budget and workplan for their one-year project before 31 December 2025.
