Solution journalism outfit, Prime Progress, whose purpose is to tell deeply revealing stories on repressive culture, religious and social practices that hold people down among others, has launched its ‘Religion for Change Fellowship’.
With support from the Centre for Religion and Civic Culture; a research centre at the University of Southern California, the organisation will train and support Nigerian/African journalists to produce stories about how communities and individuals are solving social problems based on their faith and spiritual convictions.
The leading solution journalism outfit said individual or group sparking social change could be from any religion, including African traditional religions.
Prime Progress further disclosed that ten (10) successful applicants will be trained for two weeks.
Interested journalists will then submit pitches for possible approval. Five successful pitches will receive grants to produce the stories within a month from the day of commissioning.
Submit your application on or before November 20, 2023. Late applications will not be accepted. The list of successful applicants will be published on November 27.
