The International Vaccine Institute (IVI) has officially launched its 4th International Photo Contest, inviting photographers worldwide to document the profound impact of immunization.
This year’s theme, “A healthier world made possible by vaccination, available to everyone, everywhere,” focuses on the stories of science, discovery, and community resilience that define global health.
Organizers are specifically seeking images that highlight the “human face” of vaccines in action, particularly within low- and middle-income countries.
Entrants can submit works under three distinct categories: Vaccines for a healthier world, Human connection, and Health heroes.
Funding and benefits
Winning photographers stand to receive significant financial rewards, with a Grand Prize of US$2,000 awarded to the top entry.
The competition also offers a US$1,000 Gold prize, two Silver prizes of US$500 each, and six Bronze prizes of US$200 each, alongside honorable mentions.
Beyond cash incentives, selected works may be featured across IVI’s global platforms, including its website, social media, and official publications.
Photographers will receive official credit as “IVI/[Photographer’s Name]” whenever their work is showcased, ensuring international visibility for their art.
Application requirements and eligibility
The contest is open to all individuals aged 18 or older, though employees of the International Vaccine Institute are ineligible to participate.
There is no entry fee required to submit work to the competition.
Participants may submit up to five original photographs, provided they were taken on or after January 1, 2022.
Images must meet specific technical standards, including a minimum size of 4000 x 3000 pixels in JPG, JPEG, PNG, or TIFF formats.
A panel of judges will evaluate entries based on technical quality, narrative impact, and relevance to the contest’s core themes.
Submissions must be handled as separate entries and are being accepted through the official portal at ivi.submittable.com/submit.
Deadline
Aspiring contestants must submit their work before the final cutoff on July 17, 2026, at 23:59 Korea Standard Time.
