Diversability has officially launched its global search for the 2026 D-30 Disability Impact List, an initiative dedicated to honoring people with disabilities who are driving significant change.
Now in its seventh year, the program continues its mission of smashing stereotypes and building a more inclusive world.
Since its inception in 2020, the list has reviewed more than 1,100 nominations, ultimately recognizing over 150 of the world’s most influential disabled leaders.
The selection process highlights unique accomplishments across various fields, ranging from the entertainment industry to materials chemistry and scientific research.
Funding and benefits
Being named an honoree provides a prestigious global platform for advocacy, with winners featured prominently across Diversability’s newsletter, official website, and social media channels.
While the sources do not specify direct monetary grants, the primary benefit is the international recognition of a leader’s dedication to disability justice and inclusion.
Selection also means joining an elite network of past honorees, such as Team USA athlete Garrison Redd and disability inclusion specialist Atif Sheikh.
For many, like 2022 honoree Haseeb Abbasi, this recognition provides the fuel and motivation to continue tackling the challenges and obstacles inherent in advocacy work.
Application requirements and eligibility
To be eligible for the list, a nominee must be a person with a disability who has made a measurable impact globally.
Notably, self-nominations are not accepted; interested individuals must be put forward by someone else to reflect the organization’s emphasis on community power and interdependence.
Furthermore, those who have been selected as a D-30 Honoree in previous years are ineligible for selection again.
All nominations must be submitted in English through the official Google Form, after which nominees will be emailed a supplemental form to provide further information and consent.
Deadline
The window for nominations is currently open, having commenced on Monday, April 13, 2026. The final deadline to submit a nomination is Tuesday, May 19, 2026.
Both the nominator’s submission and the nominee’s supplemental response must be received by the organization for the application to be considered by the selection committee.
For those with specific access needs or questions regarding the form, the organization offers direct email support.
