Tiger Eye Foundation has opened applications to the 2022 edition of its "Nigeria Investigates" program.

"Nigeria Investigates" is an investigative journalism project that identifies and trains Nigerian journalists to report and produce stories that affect communities and promote accountability.

For this year's edition, open to Nigerian journalists practising in Nigeria, successful applicants will attend a five-day (physical) training in March 2022. They will be "taken through a rigorous exercise on investigative techniques, high risk and hostile environment compliance, storytelling, and post-production," the call for applications said.

At the end of the training, participants will be provided with resources to produce one story based on an updated pitch from the original pitch they initially sent for the program.

Facilitators drawn from editors at Premium Times, BBC Africa Eye, amongst other experts, will be involved in this year's edition to support successful applicants in producing impactful investigative stories.

The application deadline is February 16. Check here for more details.
