This week’s schedule includes high-octane action, thought-provoking mystery, and the return of a comedy cult classic.

If you’re in the mood for an elite assassin’s final mission,  a mind-bending spiritual cult or just want to  laugh along with the world’s greatest golfer back in action—these are titles to keep you thrilled this weekend.

Osiris (Amazon prime)

Genre: Action

A team of elite commandos wakes up aboard an alien spacecraft with no memory of how they got there. As they navigate the rough terrain,  they battle monstrous creatures that harvest humans like livestock and uncover chilling truths that could damage the earth.

The Assassin (Apple TV/Amazon Prime Video)

Genre: Thriller/Drama

A retired killer reunites with her son, but her bloody past won’t stay buried. On the run together, they must fight for survival while exposing a dark conspiracy that threatens to destroy them both.

Happy Gilmore 2 (Netflix)

Genre: Comedy/Sports

The long-awaited sequel redeploys Adam Sandler back in familiar territory to reprise Happy Gilmore, now older, crankier and hilariously out of shape. Gilmore returns to the sport of golf after years of retirement, not for fame this time but to finance his daughter’s expensive ballet classes.

House of Eden (Hulu)

Genre: Horror

What set out to be a film for their next paranormal investigation for their ghost-hunting channel spirals into a nightmarish battle for survival as Kris, Celina, and Jay encounter a malevolent, ancient spirit lurking in an abandoned house deep in the woods.

Guns & Moses

Genre: Drama/thriller

A beloved small-town rabbi in the high desert becomes an unlikely gunslinger after his peaceful community is violently attacked. With equal parts grit and humour, he takes justice into his own hands to protect the people he once only served with sermons.

This week's entertainment lineup includes a variety of genres from action-packed thrillers to comedy and horror. "Osiris" on Amazon Prime is an action film about elite commandos trapped on an alien spacecraft, fighting monstrous creatures and uncovering secrets that threaten Earth. In the thriller/drama "The Assassin" on Apple TV/Amazon Prime, a retired killer and her son face a conspiracy that could destroy them as they flee from her violent past.

For those looking for laughter, "Happy Gilmore 2" on Netflix sees Adam Sandler reprising his role as Happy Gilmore. This time, an older and comically out-of-shape Gilmore returns to the golf course to fund his daughter's ballet lessons. In the horror genre, "House of Eden" on Hulu follows a group of paranormal investigators facing off against an ancient spirit in an abandoned house. Lastly, "Guns & Moses" features a small-town rabbi turning gunslinger to protect his community after a violent attack, blending drama and humor effectively.
