Following the shortlisting of candidates for the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board, the online Computer-Based Test has since commenced for eligible applicants.

The recruitment test, which kicked off on Wednesday, November 12, is organised in batches. Only candidates who received an official schedule can log in to take the test.

To gain access, candidates are required to register on the recruitment portal using the 11-digit National Identification Number (NIN) and the phone number submitted during the online registration.

Once the details are verified, you can then log in to your dashboard and confirm the date, venue and time of the exam.

It is important that the NIN and telephone number match the same used during registration. Any discrepancy will lead to denial of access.

If you encounter any issues, contact the support page on the portal—or send a direct mail to the official support group.

The examination portal launches 30 minutes prior to the test to allow time for photo authentication and entry into the virtual waiting room.

The CBT is AI-proctored. This means that candidates are monitored throughout the session to detect malpractice, third-party involvement or the use of devices for support.

As such, switching applications during the exam, receiving calls or minimising the exam window may trigger violation alerts. Repetitive violations will result in automatic disqualification.

The CDCFIB recommends using a laptop with a stable internet connection and uninterrupted power supply for a smooth experience. You can also use your mobile phones and tablets, but note that these pose higher risks of interruption.

If your network is disconnected during the test, you can rejoin and continue within the allotted time.

Finally, beware of fake links and misleading broadcasts circulating during the exercise. Good luck!
