The Kari Howard Fund, an initiative of the International Women’s Media Foundation (IWMF), is now accepting applications from women journalists worldwide who specialize in narrative journalism.

Established in honour of Kari Howard—a dedicated journalist whose life was tragically cut short—the fund is committed to supporting women in journalism by providing financial and professional resources to help them overcome industry challenges and tell impactful stories.

Objectives

  • Provide financial and professional support for investigative reporting and storytelling projects.

  • Amplify women’s voices and perspectives in media.

  • Promote high-quality journalism that informs, educates, and engages the public.
