The Robotics for Good Youth Challenge, inspired by the ROBOCAT 2024 and organised by El Racó dels Robotaires, is the leading UN-affiliated educational robotics championship. Each year, young innovators from around the world are invited to tackle real-world problems using robotics and AI—powered by open-source software and hardware.

The 2024–2025 edition focuses on natural disasters, with a special emphasis on earthquake response and recovery. Participants are challenged to design robots that offer innovative, sustainable solutions for managing seismic emergencies.

Who Can Apply?

  • Young individuals or teams interested in robotics, disaster relief, and sustainability.

  • Applicants must design a robot that addresses seismic emergencies (e.g., earthquake prediction, prevention, rescue, or recovery).

  • Teams are encouraged to use recycled materials and eco-friendly technologies in their designs

Participation Format

  • In-person participation is available if your country or region has a designated national organiser.

  • If not, you may participate remotely by submitting a video presentation of your project.

  • Submission deadline: April 1, 2026 (for the 2025–2026 edition).
