The Bloom Scholars Programme, established by the Bloom Africa Impact Fund in 2019, provides financial support and leadership development opportunities to young African women, particularly secondary school graduates with limited resources. This initiative aims to remove barriers to higher education across the continent by offering benefits such as up to US$500 in annual tuition support, renewable for up to four years, access to a network of peers and mentors, and ongoing skills training.

Eligibility for the program requires applicants to be female secondary school graduates from Africa, with a focus on countries like Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone, South Africa, and Kenya. Applicants must be set to enroll in a recognized undergraduate program by the 2025 academic year and demonstrate financial need, academic excellence, leadership potential, and a commitment to community impact.

The application process involves completing an online application and submitting high school transcripts, national exam results, a university admission letter, short essays on leadership and community goals, and a recommendation from a teacher or mentor. Shortlisted candidates will partake in a virtual interview. The application deadline is August 1, 2025, and more information can be obtained by clicking the provided application link.
