The True Colours Trust Africa Small Grants Programme is dedicated to strengthening palliative care across Africa. It prioritises projects that improve patient experiences and raise the standard of care delivered to patients and their families.
Focus areas
The grants support one-off projects that directly enhance patient care and improve the quality of palliative care services. Areas of focus include:

Palliative care for children and young people

Access to essential palliative care medicines

Capital improvements to facilities

Expanding palliative care services in rural and underserved areas
The programme also funds training courses for palliative care providers across Africa, helping build local capacity and expertise.
Funding details
Each grant offers up to GBP £5,000 to support innovative projects that deliver immediate improvements in palliative care. Funding can cover expenses such as medical equipment, staff training and capital development.
Eligibility
Applications are open to:

Registered organisations working in palliative care in Africa

Non-governmental organisations (NGOs) focused on palliative care

Community-based organisations delivering palliative services
-
Organisations with a proven track record in palliative care delivery
Organisations with an average income exceeding $500,000 USD over the past three years are not eligible to apply.
