Mighty Ally is hunting for a senior-level strategy consultant to join its purposefully small, high-performing team in a remote capacity.
This senior leadership position offers a unique chance to shape bold, fundable brands that advance social justice on a global scale.
Operating on the core belief that organizations must be “fundable and findable” before they can secure sustainable investment, the organization uses a proprietary framework to strengthen nonprofits.
The selected consultant will act as a vital catalyst between “doers and donors,” bridging the gap between mission and impact.
The new hire will be instrumental in achieving Mighty Ally’s ambitious 10-year goal: guiding 5,000 brands to impact 500 million people worldwide.
Key responsibilities include leading brand diagnostic audits and developing strategic recommendations for the theory of change and marketing communications.
Monthly pay
The position offers a competitive monthly rate ranging from USD 6,250 to 8,250, depending on the candidate’s specific level of experience.
This is a full-time independent contractor engagement set for an initial 12-month duration, starting in March 2026,.
As a remote role based in the Global South, the contract provides inherent flexibility and includes built-in time away from work. While the consultant is responsible for their own local taxes and legal compliance, the compensation is designed to attract top-tier global talent.
The engagement begins with a three-month trial period to ensure a strong fit between the consultant and the high-expectation consulting environment.
This role allows for deep collaboration with the founding partner to influence the trajectory of growth-stage social impact organizations.
Application requirement
Prospective candidates must bring at least 10 years of direct experience in strategic roles, with 3 to 5 years specifically within brand or social sector consultancies.
Applicants must be based in the Global South, with a strong preference for Africa, and reside within three hours of East Africa Time.
Success in this role requires a blend of structured strategic thinking and exceptional facilitation skills to lead multi-hour workshops with leadership teams.
A nuanced understanding of “brand versus branding” and proficiency in tools like Google Workspace and Canva are also considered essential.
Additionally, the organization seeks individuals who embrace the thoughtful use of AI tools to enhance, rather than replace, strategic insight.
Candidates should embody core values of grit, excellence, and the determination to say what needs to be said to drive results.
Deadline
There is no fixed closing date, as applications are being reviewed on a rolling basis, meaning early submission is highly encouraged to secure a spot in the selection process.
