The Multidisciplinary Digital Publishing Institute (MDPI) is now accepting nominations for the Young Women in Engineering Award, a recognition that celebrates the achievements of rising female researchers in the engineering field.

This award aims to highlight outstanding contributions by young women in engineering and inspire more women to pursue research and careers in this traditionally male-dominated field.

Award Details

Winners will receive:

  • CHF 1,000 cash prize.

  • An electronic certificate of recognition.

  • A voucher to waive article processing charges (APCs) for one submission to an MDPI journal in the field of engineering (subject to peer review, valid for one year).

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must be women.

  • Must have obtained a Ph.D. no more than 10 years before December 31, 2025.

  • Must have conducted groundbreaking research with significant impact in engineering.

  • Nominations must be submitted by senior scientists.

Application Requirements

  • A detailed CV, including a full list of publications and research grants.

  • A scanned copy of the Ph.D. certificate.

  • Two signed nomination letters from established senior scientists.
