The La Nuu festival in Spain is extending an invitation for artists and enthusiasts to engage with its 2025 edition through various opportunities, including an international call for photographic works, portfolio viewings, specialized workshops, and volunteering.

The festival aims to foster artistic development, professional connections, and the creation of new photographic narratives within a global community.

A primary opportunity is the SCREEN section, which is launching an international call for photographic works in audiovisual format. This call is open to professional and non-professional photographers worldwide, aged 18 and over, offering a platform for their work to be presented on the evening of October 25th at La Nuu 2025.

A distinguished jury, including screenwriter and filmmaker Jo Sol, curator Natasha Christia, and photographer Emilie Hallard, will select a single winner who will receive a cash prize of 1000 euros (subject to deductions).

For emerging photographers seeking professional guidance, the CLOSER portfolio viewing section provides an invaluable chance to connect with experts.

Participants will have the opportunity to present their photographic projects to a panel of professionals, including curators, photographers, designers, editors, and festival directors, to receive comments, advice, and direction on realizing their work.

Ten participants will be chosen to showcase their projects.

Beyond exhibition opportunities, La Nuu offers two distinct workshops for deeper creative engagement. The Vanessa Winship Workshop, “PATH AS A DESTINATION,” led by the acclaimed British photographer Vanessa Winship, focuses on the creative process, research, and freeing artists from the pressure of perfection.
