The Royal Society, in partnership with The Leverhulme Trust, is offering Senior Research Fellowships to established scientists in the United Kingdom.
The fellowship provides up to one year of relief from teaching and administrative duties, enabling recipients to focus fully on their research. Funds are awarded to cover the salary of a replacement lecturer who will take over the fellow’s responsibilities during this period.
Who can apply

Applicants must hold a PhD and a permanent position at a UK university or non-profit research institution.

Research proposals must fall within the natural sciences (excluding clinical medicine and projects directly related to disease).

Candidates should be at a career stage where a concentrated research period would be especially valuable.
