The Pride Photo Award has opened submissions for its 2026 edition, inviting photographers from around the world to share visual stories that reflect LGBTQIA+ lives and experiences.

Centred on storytelling, visibility, and representation, the award uses photography as a tool to expand public understanding of diverse identities, communities and realities.

Aim

The Pride Photo Award seeks rich, layered visual narratives from across the global LGBTQIA+ community.

Submissions may document current events, capture everyday life, or explore identity through creative approaches such as portraiture, collage, staged photography, or other forms of visual intervention.

At its core, the award aims to present lived experiences with honesty, creativity, and emotional depth.

What’s on offer

Photographers selected for the Pride Photo Exhibition 2026 will each receive a cash award of approximately USD 540.

Beyond the financial prize, selected works benefit from significant international exposure through physical exhibitions, online showcases and social media promotion.

Awarded images will be displayed with full credit, reaching a wide audience of visitors, curators and visual arts professionals.

The Pride Photo Award is open and inclusive, welcoming photographers of all backgrounds and career stages.

Eligible applicants include:

  • Professional photographers

  • Emerging and early-career photographers

An overall winner will be selected in each category by an independent international jury drawn from the arts and culture sector.
