The Nigerian Navy has announced the commencement of applications for the Basic Training School (BTS) Batch 38 recruitment exercise, which will run from October 2nd until October 31st, 2025.
Eligibility requirements
This application is open to Nigerian citizens with a valid National Identification Number (NIN). Candidates must also have a clean criminal record and must not belong to any secret society, cult or fraternity.
Educational and age requirements:
- O’Level certificate holders: 18–22 years (as of December 31, 2025)
- OND/NCE holders: 18–26 years
- Chaplains/Imam Assistants and Drivers/Mechanics: 18–28 years
- Applicants must also possess a minimum of five credits, including English Language and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings in WAEC, NECO, GCE, or NABTEB. Certificates must not be older than 2015.
Special requirements:
- Proof of registration with professional bodies for nurses and medical specialists
- Valid trade test certificates are required for those in technical trades such as tailoring, plumbing, carpentry, welding and electrical works.
- Sportsmen and women must show evidence of achievements, including certificates and medals.
Examination and documentation
The recruitment examination is scheduled for November 29, 2025, across designated centres nationwide.
Candidates must present the following documents:
- Attestation form with passport-size photograph of the declarer.
- Valid identification such as a driver’s licence, international passport, or national ID card.
