The Nigerian Army has announced the release of shortlisted candidates for the Short Service Combatant Commission (SSCC) Course 49/2026 on its recruitment portal.
All successful applicants are expected to report for the Selection Board scheduled from December 1 to 19, 2025, at the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Ribadu Campus, Old Site, Kaduna.
Applicants are requested to arrive in Kaduna on November 30, 2025, and must report at the venue between 6:00 A.M. and 11:00 A.M. on December 1st.
Anyone who arrives after the stipulated time will be automatically disqualified.
Mandatory documents and items
Shortlisted candidates must come with the following:
- Original and at least two photocopies of academic/professional certificates.
- Birth certificate or age declaration.
- Certificate of state of origin.
- NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
- BVN slip authenticated by a bank.
- SSCC portal printouts, including referee forms.
- Four passport photographs and four full-size photographs in a suit.
- Writing materials.
- Three pairs of blue shorts, three pairs of plain white T-shirts, canvas shoes and white socks.
- Toiletries, bucket, plates, drinking cups, cutlery.
- Bedding (blankets, bedsheets, pillows and pillowcases).
- Scratch cards for online verification of WAEC/NECO results.
Only accommodation and feeding will be provided during the duration of the exercise. Candidates are responsible for their transportation. The use of private vehicles is prohibited, and visitors will not be allowed.
