The 2025 MTN mPulse Spelling Bee is now open for entries, with more than ₦12 million worth of prizes up for grabs for outstanding primary and secondary school students across Nigeria.

Organised by MTN Nigeria, the annual competition encourages digital literacy and academic excellence by enhancing students’ spelling and vocabulary skills. This year’s edition comes with even bigger rewards and an opportunity for the overall winner to become “MTN CEO for a Day.”

The competition is open to Nigerian students aged 9 to 15 who are registered on the mPulse platform. It features three stages:

  1. An online test

  2. A virtual spelling round

  3. A final physical contest

Registration and participation begin on August 5, 2025.

Prizes

  • Overall Winner: ₦2.5 million scholarship, laptop, smartphone, and an exclusive “CEO for a Day” experience at MTN Nigeria.

  • Other finalists: Cash prizes, smartphones, and certificates.

  • Teachers and Schools of top-performing students will also receive laptops and cash awards.

Eligibility requirements

Participants must:

  1. Be Nigerian, aged 9 to 15.

  2. Attend a primary or secondary school.

  3. Be registered on the mPulse website.

  4. Complete the online registration and take the first-round quiz.
