The fifth edition of the International Contest for Minority Artists invites creators from around the world to submit powerful artistic responses to the theme “War and Reconciliation.”
Organised under the Minority Artists for Human Rights Initiative, the contest positions art as a catalyst for dialogue, justice and cross-cultural understanding, particularly in contexts shaped by conflict and healing.
Focus
This global initiative seeks to amplify the voices of minority artists whose work reflects lived experiences of war, reconciliation, coexistence, and resilience.
Through creative expression, the programme aims to raise awareness of human rights issues while fostering lasting connections between artists, cultural institutions and global audiences.
Programme benefits
Selected artists gain international visibility through a UN-supported platform dedicated to highlighting minority voices in global human rights discourse.
Participants benefit from professional exposure, inclusion in a global artistic network, and opportunities to engage with cultural institutions, advocacy organisations and human rights bodies worldwide.
