Applications are now open for the Pledge for Nature Launchpad 2025 Mentorship Programme, a fully funded initiative for young African environmental changemakers between the ages of 18 and 28.

Organised by the Youth for Environmental Conservation Initiative in partnership with Global Changemakers, the eight-week virtual mentorship programme is designed to empower emerging environmental leaders with the tools, knowledge, and support they need to amplify their impact across the continent.

Program Benefits

Participants will:

  • Receive personalised mentorship from experienced African environmental leaders.

  • Get support to organise a Pledge for Nature workshop in their community.

  • Gain access to Global Changemakers’ Project Management Course.

  • Become eligible for a $1,000 USD grant.

  • Connect with a pan-African network of peers and experts.

  • Earn a certificate of completion upon meeting programme requirements.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

  • Be 18 to 28 years old

  • Be a citizen or resident of any African country

  • Commit at least one hour per week for the eight-week duration

  • Be willing to implement an environmental education project in their community
