The Leukaemia Research Foundation has opened applications for its New Investigator Grant Programme, which supports promising early-career scientists conducting impactful leukaemia research.
The programme aims to accelerate discoveries that improve understanding, treatment and outcomes for people living with leukaemia. It prioritises investigator-led research by scientists who are building or strengthening independent laboratories and encourages innovative ideas that can develop into sustained scientific contributions.
The programme’s flexible eligibility criteria recognise career interruptions such as illness or family responsibilities, helping to ensure fair access for a diverse range of applicants.
Funding details
Successful applicants may request up to $150,000 USD, awarded over two years to cover eligible research-related costs.
The grant does not support principal investigator salaries or capital equipment exceeding $7,500 USD but allows limited research travel of up to $3,000 USD.
Award recipients benefit from increased funding visibility, participation in a competitive research network and the opportunity to generate data and findings that can strengthen future large-scale grant applications.
