KAUST Global Fellowship Program offers $115,000 to early career researchers

The King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) is now accepting applications for its KAUST Global Fellowship Program aimed at attracting and supporting outstanding emerging research leaders and scientists from around the world.

The merit-based scholarship inspires the young generation of scientists and engineers to address global challenges and explore opportunities that benefit humanity.

It targets postdocs with innovative ideas capable of complementing, supporting, contributing to, and advancing the major research priorities of KAUST.

Fellows are given full access to key research tools, equipment, unparalleled facilities, and expertise required to fulfill their research ambitions, supported by a strong community of excellence.

Scholars also have access to the KAUST Mentoring Program and receive the Harvard HE Teaching Certificate and the leadership programs/certificates.

The program duration is three years

Funding
  • Each successful fellow receives up to $40,000 of funding for their research proposal, along with a yearly living stipend of $75,000 plus benefits, including medical insurance, accommodation, schooling for up to 2 children, a relocation allowance, and an annual travel allowance.
  • The funding allows researchers to prioritize their research on a full-time basis with financial security.
Who qualifies?
  • You must be an early-career researcher pursuing your own research project and expanding on your innovative ideas.
  • You must have a desire to build your own future career path and transition toward a competitive independent research career
