Student Energy is now accepting applications for the 2025 cohort of its Career Training Programme (SECT)—an initiative designed to build leadership and employability skills for young women in Africa through energy education, project-based learning, and personalised career support.

Now in its sixth edition, the 2025 programme is themed “Women in Energy Africa.” It will run entirely online from July 2025 to February 2026, requiring an average commitment of 10 hours per week over a 30-week period (approximately 300 hours total).

The training is delivered in English and features collaborations with leading energy companies across the globe.

Eligibility

Applicants must:

  • Be women aged 18–30 residing in Africa

  • Be graduates of a tertiary institution

  • Be fluent in English

  • Have reliable internet access
