GrowthGia Technologies has officially announced the launch of the GrowthGia Business Grant II, representing a total funding pool of ₦5,000,000.00 dedicated to supporting Nigerian small businesses.
This specific grant cycle is designed to provide financial resources and critical support for the growth of small businesses. The initiative specifically focuses on entrepreneurs who are actively building sustainable businesses and require financial backing to successfully scale their operations.
The primary aim of the grant is to empower businesses, aligning directly with GrowthGia’s mission. They seek business owners who can demonstrate tangible growth potential and clear goals, ensuring the resources are allocated to enterprises ready to advance.
Applications are welcomed from entrepreneurs and small businesses operating across diverse industries, including but not limited to fashion, agriculture, food, retail, creative arts, and services.
A total of five final businesses will be selected following a rigorous three-round evaluation process. Each successful grant II applicant will be awarded ₦1,000,000.00. The funding is structured as a non-repayable grant, meaning beneficiaries are not required to pay it back.
The expected impact is tied closely to accountability and long-term sustainability. While the grant is non-repayable, recipients must provide quarterly progress and financial reports to GrowthGia.
Should any funds be misapplied or diverted from their intended use, the beneficiary will be required to refund the misapplied portion and face disqualification from future GrowthGia opportunities.
Eligibility criteria are strict, starting with operational and legal status within Nigeria. Applicants must be business owners who have a fully registered entity with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), as applications with “registration in progress” will not be accepted for this round.
Furthermore, GrowthGia requires that the brand not be “faceless,” insisting there must be a clearly identifiable person attached to the business who will be held accountable for the funds.
Criteria for the small businesses grant
To complete the submission, applying small businesses must meet several core requirements, including:
- Having a viable online presence and being a new or existing member of the GrowthGia Instagram community.
- Mandatory submissions include completing the online application form, uploading a pitch document following the provided template, and recording a clear, live video pitch and product/business tour that is under two minutes in length.
- Applicants must ensure the video link is set so that “Anyone with the link can view,” as failure to do so will result in disqualification.
