The Gender Equity and Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Evidence Accelerator Fellowship is a capacity-building programme designed to strengthen evidence-driven work in gender equity and GBV prevention and response.

Focus

The fellowship aims to equip participants with practical skills to generate, analyse and translate evidence that informs gender equity and GBV programming and policy.

Rather than remaining theoretical, the programme supports fellows to apply evidence tools directly to real-world gender and GBV challenges within their professional contexts.

Benefits

The fellowship covers course registration, faculty mentorship and travel costs for one in-person cohort convening.

While the programme does not offer a salary or stipend, fellows benefit from advanced training, expert mentorship, international networking opportunities and formal affiliation with Johns Hopkins University.

Eligibility

Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Currently living or working in a low- or middle-income country

  • Actively engaged in gender equity or GBV practice, research or policy

  • PhD candidates, postdoctoral researchers or junior faculty in relevant fields

  • Professionals working in monitoring and evaluation or community-based research roles

  • Prior exposure to research methods or statistical tools such as STATA or R

  • Professional working proficiency in English

Note: Current master’s students are not eligible to apply.

Structure and learning experience

This is a part-time, cohort-based fellowship running for approximately one year.

Fellows will complete selected coursework at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, participate in thematic seminars and receive close mentorship from faculty at the Center for Gender and Health and Gender Equity (CGWHGE), within a collaborative peer-learning environment.

Deadline

Applications close on January 16, 2026. Interested candidates can apply via the official website.
