The Federal Government of Nigeria has unveiled the Renewed Hope Agricultural Mechanisation Programme (RHAMP), a new national initiative designed to make farming easier, more productive, and attractive to young Nigerians.

Project aim

The programme, launched by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security in partnership with the Bank of Agriculture (BOA), aims to distribute thousands of tractors, implements and service centres across the country. It’s part of a broader plan to improve food security, create jobs and reduce manual labour in farming.

What’s on offer

  • Access to tractors and modern farm equipment through affordable lease arrangements.
  • Training for operators, mechanics, and farm technicians to manage and maintain the machines.
  • Support for farm cooperatives and youth-owned agribusinesses to become equipment service providers.
  • Job opportunities in areas like equipment handling, logistics, and mechanised farm operations.

Who can apply

The programme is open to Nigerians aged between 18 and 35 years old with registered agribusinesses. interested applicants must have access to farmland or be ready to engage in farm service operations.

  • Visit the official Bank of Agriculture (BOA) portal.
  • Fill in the online application form.

Shortlisted applicants will be contacted for verification and training.

Applications are due on November 10, 2025.
