Federal Fire Service seeks qualified officers for key roles: Apply now

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board, or CDCFIB, has announced new internal and external vacancies for mid-management positions in the Federal Fire Service, inviting qualified officers from federal, state and local Government Ministries, Departments and Agencies, or MDAs, to apply.

Positions

According to the board, applications are open for the following five roles: 

  • Deputy Controller of Fire (CONPASS 14)
  • Assistant Controller of Fire (CONPASS 13)
  • Chief Superintendent of Fire (CONPASS 12)
  • Superintendent of Fire (CONPASS 11)
  • Deputy Superintendent of Fire (CONPASS 10)

Who can apply?

The CDCFIB application is open to serving members in the government MDAs. Each applicant can send in only one application, as multiple submissions of applications will lead to disqualification. 

Additional requirements include:

  • A minimum height of 1.65m for males and 1.60m for females
  • Evidence of appointment confirmation
  • Three years of APER/PMS reports
  • A valid medical fitness certificate from a government-recognized hospital
  • Clean financial and criminal records
  • Letter of identification from Local Government of Origin
  • Certified true copy of Record of Service

Paramilitary personnel currently serving are not eligible to apply.

Submission deadline

All applications must be sent in PDF format to the CDCFIB email no later than December 15, 2025.
