Submissions are now open for the Africa Earth Observation Challenge, a platform designed to spark entrepreneurial activity in the African space industry and increase awareness of the value of Earth observation data across various sectors.

Objective

The challenge aims to identify innovative, scalable applications of space-based data that address pressing issues across the following seven thematic areas:

  • Climate Change

  • Agriculture

  • Disaster Risk Reduction

  • Natural Resource Monitoring

  • Sustainable Urban and Rural Development

  • Healthcare

  • Water and Sanitation

Who Can Apply

The challenge is open to businesses operating anywhere in Africa that meet the following criteria:

  • At early-stage funding or investor-readiness levels

  • Operating within the technology readiness spectrum

  • Classified under one of the following stages: Seed and Development, Start-up, or Growth and Establishment
