The Children’s Tumour Foundation (CTF) is now accepting applications for the Young Investigator Award (YIA), an annual programme that supports early-career researchers working on neurofibromatosis (NF).
The initiative offers two years of salary support to help young scientists establish their research careers and contribute to advancing the understanding and treatment of NF.
Focus
The Young Investigator Award aims to nurture the next generation of leaders in NF research by supporting promising doctoral and postdoctoral scientists who demonstrate strong potential for independent inquiry.
The programme helps recipients build the foundation needed for larger grants and leadership roles within the NF research community.
Funding details
Each award provides two years of salary support, offering financial stability while recipients conduct their research.
Beyond funding, awardees gain access to the CTF research network — a global community of mentors, collaborators, and scientific experts.
This network offers guidance on refining research, publishing results, and pursuing future funding opportunities.
