The Global Resilience Partnership (GRP) is looking for smart ideas that use Artificial Intelligence (AI) to make humanitarian work stronger and faster.

This challenge is called the Technology for Evolving Challenges in Humanitarian Contexts (TECH 4 Resilience Challenge).

The challenge is looking for AI projects that are predictive and locally grounded. This means they should use technology to look ahead, prepare for risks, and solve real community problems. They must also respect gender equality, human rights, and fairness.

The aim is to help communities prepare for and respond to emergencies caused by extreme climate events by supporting people to build better lives, earn more, and protect the environment.

Application criteria

  • GRP is looking for bold, creative, and practical AI solutions that can be used in real life, so your project should be something that can grow, be copied in other places, and make a real difference without harming communities.
  • Both non-profit and for-profit registered organisations, as well as local entrepreneurs and innovators, can apply.
  • You must be working in low- or middle-income countries listed by the OECD-DAC (except Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, and the Crimea Region of Ukraine).

Funding and other benefits

  • The winners will get up to USD 50,000 in funding.
  • You will also get one-on-one mentoring, help with monitoring and evaluation, communications support, and a place in the online Leadership Academy.
  • Winners will also be linked to possible funders and partners, get incubation support, and have chances to pitch for more resources.
  • They will also get expert help to make sure their idea can work for the long term.

How and when to apply

Applications are open until August 31, 2025. If your project is shortlisted, you will hear from GRP on 30 September 2025. The winners will be announced and contracted in November or December 2025.
