The African Union Development Agency (AUDA-NEPAD) is inviting proposals from partners interested in running its 2024–2025 Land Accelerator programme in Africa, which caters to businesses focused on restoring degraded land.
The selected technical partner or group will effectively implement this innovative accelerator and support a new generation of environmental entrepreneurs.
The programme aims to empower entrepreneurs by building their business capacity, providing valuable mentorship and connecting them with potential investors. While this call is for an organisation to manage the accelerator, the ultimate beneficiaries will be the entrepreneurs participating in the programme.
They will receive specialised training and support to scale their land restoration businesses, contributing to both economic growth and environmental health across the continent.
Who can apply
To ensure that the chosen partner has the relevant experience, AUDA-NEPAD is seeking proposals from legally established organisations with a strong background in supporting businesses in Africa that meet the following criteria:
- A legally constituted and registered organisation or firm.
- A minimum of five years of experience in entrepreneurship, business acceleration, and capacity building within Africa is required.
- A proven track record of running similar programmes.
- Demonstrated experience working with restoration-based businesses.
- A strong network of mentors and investors.
Application requirements
Interested organisations should submit detailed technical and financial proposals, which should be delivered physically to the agency’s head office. Meanwhile, all supporting documents should be marked in English to be considered for review.
Deadlines
Supporting documents should be submitted via the AUDA-NEPAD official portal not later than October 30, 2025.
