The Experimental Science Initiative has opened a new call for project proposals aimed at advancing innovative and boundary-pushing research across scientific disciplines.

The programme supports researchers committed to developing novel methodologies and conducting empirical studies that expand the frontiers of knowledge. Its ultimate goal is to foster innovation and produce measurable scientific breakthroughs through rigorous experimental work.

Funding 

Successful applicants will receive up to USD 15,000 in funding and will be recognised as Exponential Science Fellows, joining a vibrant cross-disciplinary research community.

Funding is disbursed in two stages:

  • 50% after submission and approval of the interim progress report.

  • 50% upon acceptance of the final project report.

This performance-based funding structure ensures accountability and supports meaningful research outcomes.

Recipients will also gain access to specialised scientific resources and networking opportunities offered by the initiative.

Who can apply

The programme welcomes applications from scientists and researchers across diverse experimental fields who meet the following criteria:

  • Hold an advanced degree in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline.

  • Are affiliated with a recognised academic institution, research centre or non-profit organisation.

  • Have a proven track record in successfully managing complex research projects.

How to apply

Applicants must submit:

  • A detailed work plan outlining objectives and methodologies.

  • A comprehensive budget breakdown.

  • Letters of support from their affiliated institution.

All materials should be uploaded through the official Exponential Science online portal before the closing date.
