Funding and benefits
Nature Awards will give two primary winners US50, 000 each, while two runners−up will each receive US5, 000 to support their ongoing work.
Winners will also be flown to an award ceremony in either London or New York, with all travel and accommodation expenses fully covered by the organizers.
Recipients gain global visibility through coverage on nature.com and exclusive mentoring opportunities provided by The Estée Lauder Companies.
Even those who do not win the top prize benefit, as shortlisted applicants will be featured on the official website and gain access to a professional coaching and networking community.
Application requirements and eligibility
Candidates must demonstrate a clear commitment to fostering gender diversity in STEM and show tangible efforts to mentor or inspire young women.
The search is open to those who are dedicated to encouraging girls to engage with science subjects and pursue long-term professional careers in these fields.
Following the submission window, applications will undergo a rigorous assessment process conducted by an expert panel from April through August 2026.
Successful applicants will then be notified privately in September 2026 before the public announcement.
